Dr. N.G.P. IT Red Ribbon Club inaugurated by our Principal Dr.S. Dhandhapani on 03.02.2009.
Vision
Empowering the students with awareness on healthy life style and communal support to create healthy society.
Mission
- Educating the prevention of Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome Related Complex, ARC and AIDS by conducting awareness programs.
- Motivating youth towards blood donation by conducting blood donation camps. Creating awareness on environmental issues and motivating young minds towards active participation in environmental activism by conducting camps.
Constitution
- The red ribbon, as an awareness ribbon, is used as the symbol for the prevention of illegal drugs, drunk driving, and to stop drugs.
- The Red Ribbon Foundation and Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) are examples of organizations that utilize the red ribbon symbol.
- MADD is an organization founded in 1980 whose mission is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.
- Red Ribbon Club is a platform where skill and knowledge building session are conducted for the youth population. Through RRC youth are encouraged to learn about safe and healthy lifestyles.
- Red Ribbon International is an organization founded in 1993 whose main purpose is the education about prevention of the Human Immunodeficiency Virus or HIV, Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome Related Complex, ARC and AIDS.
Goal
Equipping youth with correct information on HIV/AIDS Prevention, treatment, Care and Supporting.
Objective
- To create awareness and counsel the students regarding their health in terms various deceases
- To instill life skills in youths to live better and healthier life
- To promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation among youth
- To promote Regular voluntary blood donation by young people and increase access to safe and adequate quantities of blood.
